Perth in its glory

Perth in its glory

Travels

Every day that I am here, Perth gives me a reason to love this city more… and to stay here more. I wish I could, but there is also a life waiting for me on the other side. It’s my fourth day here and I went to this beautiful cafe, it’s called Magic Apple Whole foods and I am stunned. It’s around 3 in the afternoon and there are people walking by the beach where the sun glazes the sea. Some are sunbathing, some are eating in the cafe where people come and go, and some are working on their laptops. I mean, who wouldn’t love to work in this kind of place right? The scenery, the ambiance, everything all in one. I wish I could explain more into words of what I am seeing now.

I visited two beaches during my stay here; it’s the Bather’s beach in Fremantle and Cottesloe beach, and one Bay, which is the Matilda Bay Reserve. Fremantle experience? The sunset was superb. The sand going to the beach is somehow like Miami, and when you go left facing the beach, you will feel that you are in Santa Monica Pier— but the Ferris Wheel is way behind you, and by just watching the sunset? You are relieved and will say that life is beautiful. It’s quite far because it’s the last stop of the train station but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be worth it.

Cottesloe? THE BEST. From the city, you will ride a train going to Cottesloe station, then you will ride a bus that has 5 stops to reach the MA whole foods. Upon getting closer to your drop off point, you will see the beach along the way and the words that I kept saying is “WOW” and “ang gandaaa”. Right after I stepped out the bus, I am still in awe. I walked closely to the gutter side of the road to be more closer but since it’s still afternoon, it’s scorching hot. I went to the beach, and went inside the MA Whole Foods to order a drink for recharged.

I walked a long the beach side and to my surprise, the frame that’s hanging in my hotel room is the Cottesloe itself! I love this beach. So much. There’s a lot of family hanging out and group of friends, kids who are swimming, dogs in the sand playing throw and catch, the sound of the chirping birds and so much more. Life is so full here.

Matilda Bay? It’s peaceful. I was able to write one blog there. After I finished eating in Bayside kitchen with my 18-hour pulled pork with muffin and a vanilla shake, I sat down by the grass and stared through the yachts and swans in front of me— I can say its like a reset, nor to gather ideas to write something.

If I am back here again, I will bring my loved ones for a holiday. I love Perth that much that I need to buy a souvenir from here— not just a fridge magnet.

I hope all people can experience this kind of feeling. Refreshing is an understatement. It gives you a feeling of contentment, and wanting to live and give yourself more of what you deserve. Remember that you deserve more of life that it could offer.

P.S. On my other blog, I mentioned there that Perth is my third favorite, but guess what, Perth is getting the second place now. Sorry Sydney, you get the third spot. Wonder if Adelaide will be removed from the top 1? Let’s see along the way.
